The $330 million SkyCity Casino project, featuring the new Eos hotel, begun construction in June 2018 and has employed over 1,000 construction professionals throughout the life time of the project.
Topping out in September 2019, the redevelopment project is an architectural masterpiece that fits in seamlessly into the ever evolving Adelaide CBD skyline.
With over 1 million hours worked on this site thus far, the project is on track for completion. As the fit outs on new restaurants, main production kitchen structure and services installation are all underway or near completion, there is no denying Eos by SkyCity Adelaide will be a powerful new draw card for South Australia.
With 5 delivery runs a day, the ACURA SA team has been supporting the key trades on site to ensure they keep the project moving.
PLUMBING
Having an extensive plumbing range that houses everything from consumables and markers all the way through to PVC, copper and refrigeration pipes with the option for thermal insulation and sound lagging - ACURA is the trades’ choice.
Throughout this project, we supplied pipe supports, piping insulation, fixings and sealants.
The FyrePex mastic sealant featured on page 6 was also delivered to site for our plumbing trades.
FIRE SERVICES
ACURA’s passive fire products all meet the highest standard of fire resistance in building structures.
Featured throughout this project is a range of nuts and fixings and strut channel.
Seismic support brackets and threaded rod were also supplied to fire trades across the site.
ELECTRICAL
Ensuring the trades on site have what they need, when they need it the key driver to everything at ACURA Group.
Our team partnered with electricians on site to supply fire rated cable support systems including cable tray.
Acura’s top quality cable tray supports were used both in standard and fire-rated applications, for mechanical electrical and fire electrical cable runs.
HVAC
We've spoken to the importance of seismic compliance, and as a structure that falls into the level three of importance, Eos by SkyCity has to comply with these standards.
There was a range of solutions delivered to the HVAC trades on site, including the likes of seismic bracing and an array of seismic rated fixings.
Also delivered to site for the HVAC trades was ACURA strut channel, slotted angle and sealants.
