Monarto zoo soon to be transformed into the largest safari park outside of Africa.

The recently renamed Monarto Safari Park will receive a $40 million expansion as a private investor shares plans to construct and operate a luxury resort on site.

The development joins other recent investment in the area, including the $71 million expansion of Costa Adelaide Mushroom Farm at Monarto. On this build, ACURA Group supplied custom pipe bracketry and a custom frame solution which combined siFramo with strut channel (see page 2). The new Monarto Safari Park will feature luxury accommodation, function spaces and restaurant, as well as eco-friendly glamping facilities. The new park joins a string of good news stories for South Australia. The tourism sector has hit a new record with an all time high of $7.6 billion spent by visitors to the state in the past year; up 12% from previous year. The regional visitor expenditure also grew to a record high of $3.3 billion, up 19% and now accounting for 44% of overall visitor expenditure in SA.

Fantastic news which bodes well for developments like Monarto Safari Park.
